4/11/25 Jose Quintana dominates in Brewers debut. After being unsigned until March 5, Jose Quintana proved on Friday night that he still has plenty left in the tank. Making his season debut for the Milwaukee Brewers, the 36-year-old left-hander delivered a masterclass, tossing seven shutout innings in a 7-0 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field. Quintana, who hadn't faced big-league hitters since last season, looked anything but rusty. “Offensively, we just didn't have a real good approach against Quintana,” said D-backs manager Torey Lovullo.

The Milwaukee Brewers addressed a fluid situation among their left-handed pitchers by signing veteran Jose Quintana on Wednesday to a one-year deal with a mutual option for 2026. Terms were not announced, but MLB.com reported Quintana, 36, will earn $4.25 million this season. “I'm so excited to be a part of this group,” Quintana said. “It's a lot of younger guys, and right away I feel that energy.
