4/05/25 | SF Giants' Miller brought back old pitch, and it's giving hitters new fits. Erik Miller hadn't thrown his sinker in about seven years when he took the mound at Oracle Park for his first offseason bullpen. Given how long the pitch had been dormant, he had no expectations for how the pitch would play. “There's certain guys that when you add pitches, it takes a long time,” said pitching coach J.P. Martinez. Miller, the lone lefty in the Giants' bullpen, has brought back an old pitch for his sophomore season. Source: https://www.marinij.com/2025/04/05/sf-giants-mille... |
3/08/25 | Could a second lefty join SF Giants' Miller in bullpen?. Left-hander Erik Miller made his first appearance of Cactus League play on Saturday at Scottsdale Stadium after dealing with a pair of setbacks, tossing a scoreless inning and striking out three batters as the Giants beat the Royals, 7-3. The Giants are still trying to determine whether he'll be the only lefty in their bullpen come Opening Day. San Francisco entered spring training with Miller as the only left-handed reliever on their 40-man roster. Source: https://www.eastbaytimes.com/2025/03/08/could-a-se... |
