Right now, the Washington Nationals, in their moment of patheticness as they wait for James Wood and Dylan Crews to run the team, have arguably one of the strongest rotations in baseball, and the majority of it is made up of young, strong hurlers. 4/20/25 | White Sox put Martin Perez (elbow) on 15-day IL. The Chicago White Sox placed Martin Perez on the 15-day injured list Saturday and recalled fellow left-hander Jared Shuster from Triple-A Charlotte. Perez left Friday's game against the Boston Red Sox after three innings with left elbow inflammation. He allowed five hits on his 52 pitches, one of which was the first of two three-run homers by Trevor Story in Chicago's 10-2 loss. “We need Martin,” White Sox manager Will Venable said on Friday night. “We need the things that he does on the mound, the things that he does in the clubhouse.” Perez, 34, is 1-1 with a 3.15 ERA in four starts this season, his first with the team since signing a one-year, $5 million contract.
