While nearly all attention is being paid to Boston Red Sox top prospect Roman Anthony and when he will get promoted to the big leagues, Marcelo Mayer continues to remind everyone he's quite an asset, too. Mayer showcased his terrific power in the bottom of the first inning when he demolished a fastball from Syracuse Mets right-hander Dom Hamel to deep center field.
