PHOENIX — The Arizona Diamondbacks have recalled top-ranked pitching prospect Yilber Diaz from Triple-A Reno and optioned reliever J.P. Feyereisen, Arizona Sports' John Gambadoro reported . The Diamondbacks' bullpen has been taxed this week with back-to-back extra-inning losses to the Tampa Bay Rays, paired with “fatigue” that has limited Justin Martinez. Long reliever Ryne Nelson threw 54 pitches on Thursday and will be rested for a few days. Feyereisen earned the loss on Thursday evening, and the Diamondbacks are set to begin a difficult portion of the schedule starting with the Atlanta Braves at Chase Field on Friday.
