Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said Leiter, on the IL with a blister on his right middle finger since April 3, will pitch Tuesday for Triple-A Round Rock on a rehab assignment start against Las Vegas. Jack Leiter threw his second 35-pitch bullpen of the week on Sunday and his next task may be a rehab start this week. Leiter, who has been on the IL with a blister on his right middle finger since April 3, has thrown three bullpens on the Rangers' road trip, increasing the test on the tender skin on his finger each time. On Sunday, he ramped back up to 35 pitches over two simulated innings with a protective glue covering the finger.
