Right-hander Drew Thorpe has operated behind the scenes as he works his way back to the starting rotation following elbow surgery. Thorpe is scheduled for his first live batting practice Tuesday. The former Minor League Pitcher of the Year acquired in the Dylan Cease trade a year ago, Thorpe made a nice first impression last season, pitching to a 3.03 ERA in his first seven starts.
