2/16/25 | Yankees breakout reliever in danger of missing Opening Day with injury. The New York Yankees bullpen is already dealing with some injury issues before spring training games have even started. After pitchers and catchers reported to Tampa last week, it was revealed that right-hander Jake Cousins is in the middle of rehabbing a forearm strain in his throwing arm. Cousins told reporters Sunday that while he's not ruling out the chance to be ready for Opening Day, he's also not rushing his return from the injury. He also mentioned that his UCL did not have any show damage when he got imaging, which is encouraging considering the connection with forearm injuries.
