4/22/25 | Phillies linked to major trade for $50 million All-Star slugger by ESPN writer. There's no need to panic yet, but the Philadelphia Phillies have work to do if they want to re-establish themselves as World Series contenders. Forget the Phillies' 3 1/2-game deficit to the New York Mets in the National League East. The main issue is that a pair of lineup regulars, third baseman Alec Bohm and center fielder Brandon Marsh, simply aren't hitting at all. Bohm and Marsh have been instrumental parts of past Phillies playoff runs, but if the July trade deadline arrives and either or both are still slumping, Philadelphia can't afford to be gun-shy about replacing them in the starting lineup. 4/15/25 | MLB power rankings roundup: How real are the Phillies' current issues?. The Phillies came out swinging, then spent the past week whiffing. An immediate series win over the NL juggernaut Dodgers at home was just as quickly countered by a series loss to the rival Braves in Atlanta, and then to the Cardinals in St. Louis, a series in which the Phils were shut out twice. Alec Bohm and Brandon Marsh have been struggling mightily, along with a few other bats to a lesser degree, and the bullpen has been all over the place through the year so far. Far down on the Phillies' list of current problems is how to fully structure their batting order. Source: https://www.phillyvoice.com/phillies-power-ranking... |

The Philadelphia Phillies are off to a strong start in 2025, tied for first place in the division with the New York Mets. The team has seen a postseason slump from reigning All-Star third baseman Alec Bohm continue into the 2025 season, as he has slashed just .158/.172/.175 in his first 57 at-bats. 4/10/25 | Alec Bohm moved down to 7th in Phillies' lineup — is it temporary?. Rob Thomson is aiming to take pressure off Alec Bohm by moving him down three spots in the lineup. "Sometimes it helps the guy to just kind of relax and put himself on auto-pilot and just go play." Source: https://sports.yahoo.com/article/alec-bohm-moved-d... |
