4/24/25 | D-backs Star Return from Injured List Remains on Schedule. The biggest news that eveyrone is waiting for from Torey Lovullo is the status of A.J. Puk, but that will have to wait for at least one more day. Lovullo was hopeful he could inform the media of the direction by tomorrow. Superstar second baseman Ketel Marte continues to progress in his rehab program and remains on schedule to return to the team by the end of April or the first week of May. Puk received an MRI on his left elbow on Monday, and the club is awaiting second and third opinions before moving forward. Manager Torey Lovullo said on Tuesday he thought those opinions were coming from renowned surgeons Neal ElAttrache and Keith Meister. Meister just performed Tommy John surgery on Jordan Montgomery. Puk on the 15-day injured list with inflammation in his left pitching elbow, amid a number of moves Saturday. In addition to being without Puk for at least the next two weeks, the Diamondbacks optioned right-hander Bryce Jarvis and left-hander Joe Mantiply to Triple-A Reno. While right-hander Drey Jameson was recalled from Reno, the club also purchased the contracts of right-handers J.P Feyereisen and Juan Morillo.
