| 12/04/24 | Fresh off surgery, Josh Sborz joins Rangers to spread holiday cheer at children's hospital. Josh Sborz made a hospital visit Wednesday. The shoulder was a continual issue for him in 2024. Sborz returned from a third trip to the IL in the final week of the season, got one out and went back on the IL to finish things out. It was a far cry from the previous season, when Sborz got the final out of the season — the entire MLB season — to secure the Rangers' first World Series title. Texas Rangers relief pitcher Josh Sborz has undergone a procedure on a right shoulder debridement that is expected to keep him out for the first two to three months of the 2025 season. The Rangers have agreed to a $1.1 million deal with Sborz to bring the righty back to the team next season, a person familiar with the contract talks confirmed to The Dallas Morning News.
