3/22/25 | Yankees' latest spring cuts include 3 pitchers vying for bullpen spot. The Yankees made another round of cuts from their spring training roster on Saturday afternoon. Relievers Colten Brewer, Geoff Hartlieb and Rob Zastryzny, along with outfielder Ismael Munguia and utility man Andrew Velazquez, were all reassigned to minor-league camp, the team announced after their 8-7 loss to the Phillies. 12/18/24 | Yankees Reportedly Reunite With Ex-Red Sox Reliever On Minor-League Deal. The New York Yankees added some pitching depth Tuesday in the form of an ex-Boston Red Sox reliever. According to FanSided's Robert Murray, the Yankees agreed to a minor league contract with Colten Brewer, who spent parts of three seasons with the Red Sox from 2019-2021. The 32-year-old right-hander made 58 appearances out of the bullpen for the Red Sox in his first season with Boston, posting a 1-2 record with a 4.12 ERA to go along with 52 strikeouts in 54 2/3 innings.
