2/17/25 | Former Tigers pitcher signs with Blue Jays. A former Detroit Tigers pitcher will be starting his 2025 season with a return to one of his nine career franchises. Right-handed pitcher Jacob Barnes has signed a minor league contract and received a major league camp invite with the Toronto Blue Jays, the team announced this week. This will be Barnes's second stint with the Blue Jays after also suiting up for the team in 2021. Following that season, Barnes spent two separate stints with the Tigers during the 2022 season.
