3/04/25 Braves World Series champion says he'll retire if he doesn't get $3M guarante. A core member of the Atlanta Braves' 2021 World Series champion squad says he will retire if he doesn't get offered at least $3 million of guaranteed money in free agency. Veteran outfielder Adam Duvall set his own salary minimum after he turned down a $1 million contract from the Kansas City Royals that came with another $1 million in performance-based incentives, the New York Post reportedĀ on Monday. Duvall hit just .182 last season with 11 home runs, but the 36-year-old managed a respectable .252 average against lefties during his third stint with Braves. The right-handed hitter was a key contributor during the Braves' World Series run in 2021, crushing 38 home runs and taking home the Gold Glove Award in right field.

12/23/24 Braves loosely linked to Red Sox $32 million four-time All-Star in free agency. Is a reunion in store for the Atlanta Braves this winter? One of the many themes of this successful decade of Braves baseball has been bringing old friends home. Just in 2024, the Braves brought back Adam Duvall, Jorge Soler, and Eddie Rosario as they attempted to reconstruct their outfield. As they look to make roster improvements in free agency, it's possible that the Braves could target players with whom they have an existing rapport.
