After Wednesday's game, Rob Thomson spoke about Edwin Diaz's actions on the mound against J.T. Realmuto, all but accusing the closer of faking a hip injury. 4/23/25	Mets closer Edwin Díaz pulled in 9th after calling for trainers. Mets closer Edwin Díaz signaled to his bench after winding up to throw a pitch at Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto. Díaz had pitched a clean ninth inning before coming back out for the 10th inning, where he struck out the lead-off hitter before allowing an RBI single to right fielder Nick Castellanos. During the Phillies' 10-4 loss to the San Francisco Giants on Monday, longtime umpire Tony Randazzo became the center of attention on social media. In the bottom of the seventh inning, Phillies All-Star catcher J.T. Realmuto was at bat with the Phillies trailing by 8-4 with two runners on first and second base. The team's rally from behind ended abruptly when Randazzo called a strike on what should have been ball four. Realmuto is expected to return to the lineup Monday for the team's home opener against the Colorado Rockies, but manager Rob Thomson said shortstop Trea Turner will likely not play. 2/14/25	Less catching? 1B? Some left field? Realmuto says he'll do whatever to win. Rob Thomson finally had the face-to-face conversation he'd been waiting to have with J.T. Realmuto earlier this month. The Phillies' manager joked a few times during the offseason that he knew the talk wouldn't be easy so the timing and messaging needed to be right. Thomson and the Phillies want to better preserve Realmuto's body this season. "At the end of the day, it's just going to come down to Rob and I communicating," Realmuto said Friday morning.
