LOUIS Tommy Pham hit a two-run single in the sixth inning to lead the Pittsburgh Pirates to a 2-1 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday night. The highly-touted Bubba Chandler (1-0) pitched four scoreless innings of relief of starter Carmen Mlodzinski for his first win in his second major league game. Isiah Kiner-Falefa doubled leading off the sixth against Sonny Gray (12-7). Jared Triolo walked and Spencer Horwitz reached on a throwing error by first baseman Willson Contreras to load the bases. 8/11/25 Ex-Cardinals Outfielder Could Be Intriguing Waiver Claim Candidate. The St. Louis Cardinals were sellers this year at the trade deadline. While St. Louis is only 3 1/2 games back of the third National League Wild Card spot, they are certainly longshots to actually make it to the postseason, especially since they have committed to a rebuild. Last summer, they traded for Tommy Pham and Erick Fedde at the trade deadline.

7/07/25 Pirates stop 30-inning scoreless streak with Tommy Pham's 2-run homer vs. Royals. The Pittsburgh Pirates are back on the board. Tommy Pham's two-run home run in the third inning at Kansas City on Monday night ended a 30-inning scoreless streak for the Pirates, who were shut out in all three games at Seattle during their previous series. Before beginning this nine-game trip with the sweep by the Mariners, the Pirates had blanked St. Louis in three consecutive home games.

Tommy Pham went 3 for 3 and drove in three runs, Spencer Horwitz and Bryan Reynolds also had three hits, and the Pittsburgh Pirates used a five-run fifth inning to beat the Texas Rangers 8-3 on Sunday and avoid a three-game sweep. Horwitz went 3 for 4 with two doubles. Reynolds had a double and scored as the Pirates finished with 15 hits.

Tommy Pham comes in at left field, taking over from Adam Frazier, and will bat eighth in the lineup. This is his first start of the series and since the first game of the doubleheader vs. the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park on June 19. The Pirates also bring back Joey Bart at catcher, who comes in for Henry Davis, and will hit fifth in the batting order.

6/20/25 Pirates' Tommy Pham Gets Tigers Fan Ejected. Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Tommy Pham is known for his heated interactions with fans and another one took place in the most recent game. The Pirates faced off against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park for the second game of a doubleheader and the series finale on June 19. The game went into extra innings, which also included a more than 70-minute rain delay that occurred in the bottom of the ninth inning. Pham pinch-ran for designated hitter Andrew McCutchen in the top of the 10th inning and came around third base and slid safely at home plate off of a pinch-hit RBI-single from Ke'Bryan Hayes.

MLB transactions log has Pirates outfielder Tommy Pham suspended for one game, dating back to a previous incident with a Los Angeles Angels Fan at Angels Stadium in Anaheim, Calif. Angels catcher Travis d'Arnaud hit a double off of Pirates left-handed starting pitcher Andrew Heaney in the fifth inning, which went all the way back to the left field wall on April 23.
