4/23/25 Do Texas Rangers Have Two Rookie of the Year Candidates in Starting Rotation?. The Texas Rangers have a talented starting rotation led by veterans like Jacob deGrom, Nathan Eovaldi and Tyler Mahle. 4/19/25 Texas Rangers Robust Pitching Rotation Is A Game-Changer For Postseason Hopes. The Texas Rangers' pitching rotation has become a major problem for the American League West, and anybody who wants to stand in their way. Kicking off the 2025 season atop the division, the Rangers' starters - Jacob deGrom, Nathan Eovaldi and Tyler Mahle - have borne much of the weight defensively. The trio has tossed 66 combined innings across 20 appearances, so it's clear that fatigue has hindered the team's success. Texas entered its April 15 matchup with the Los Angeles Angels on a three-game losing streak, but Mahle gave an inspiring nine-strikeout performance over six innings that pulled the team out of its recent funk.

4/14/25 Three Takeaways After Texas Rangers Swept Away by Seattle Mariners. The Texas Rangers come home after a demoralizing 1-5 road trip, including a sweep at the hands of the Seattle Mariners. Not even having Nathan Eovaldi on the bump on Sunday was able to stop the Rangers' slide, though he did give the Rangers five solid innings. Texas (9-7) lost the series because its offense was simply terrible in the series. The Rangers scored six runs in three games.

3/27/25 Red Sox Rumors: Boston Nearly Reunited With Postseason Hero. The Red Sox looked into a variety of possibilities for improving their pitching staff this offseason, including the idea of bringing back an old friend. Nathan Eovaldi reportedly drew interest from Boston when he hit MLB free agency after the 2024 season. The potential pairing made plenty of sense, as the Red Sox were in dire need of a reliable starting pitcher and Eovaldi was very familiar with the organization via his four-plus years in Boston before joining Texas. The right-hander ultimately decided to stay with the Rangers by way of a three-year, $75 million contract, but that wasn't due to a lack of external interest. According to WEEI's Rob Bradford, there were “six legit suitors” for Eovaldi

3/20/25 Texas Rangers Could Regret 'Not Doing More in Bullpen' This Offseason. The Texas Rangers did a lot of work this offseason to ensure that they don't suffer a repeat of what happened in 2024. Coming off a World Series win in 2023, the team was underwhelming last year as they dealt with a multitude of injuries to several key contributors. One of the areas of the team that underwent a facelift this winter was their pitching staff. Starting pitchers Nathan Eovaldi, Andrew Heaney and Max Scherzer hit the open market.

3/10/25 Texas Rangers' escape room escapades promote laughs now, but might help chemistry later. This story is going to cause marital strife for Nathan Eovaldi. “You are probably going to get me in trouble,” Eovaldi said. Twice this spring, a group of Rangers led by Josh Jung and Eovaldi has ventured to a combo escape room/axe throwing facility a mile from the club's spring training complex. As an aside, we certainly hope the escape room exits are clearly marked, so nobody is escaping right into the line of axe-throwers.
