2/14/25 Former Angels Top Prospect Involved in Blockbuster Trade to Have Tommy John Surgery. Former Los Angeles Angels and current Chicago White Sox prospect Ky Bush is scheduled to have Tommy John surgery Wednesday and will miss the 2025 season, as announced by general manager Chris Getz. Since Bush is on the 40-man roster, the Sox can move him to the 60-day injured list if they need to open a roster spot. Bush was selected by the Angels in the second round of the 2021 draft and was traded to the White Sox in 2023 as part of the deal for Lucas Giolito and Reynaldo Lopez.

8/07/24 The Battle of Whose Owner Sucks More. At that moment, the White Sox realized that there was a fanbase that had it worse than theirs. Because at least the White Sox aren't leaving Chicago because the owner doesn't want to replace the stadium. At least Guaranteed Rate Field is still decent enough, if unspectacular. The Sox got to start a key prospect in Ky Bush the other night, and he got roughed up by the A's lineup.

8/04/24 White Sox makes attention-grabbing on potential savior. The Chicago White Sox will call up left-hander Ky Bush ahead of their game on Tuesday, reports Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times via X (formerly Twitter.) Bush will make his Major League debut as the starting pitcher against the Oakland Athletics. The White Sox won't need to make a 40-man roster move since they have available space following their trade deadline transactions. Chicago needed another starter to fill a rotation spot due to Erick Fedde's departure and Drew Thorpe's injury.
