4/16/25 White Sox Squander Scoring Chances In 3-1 Loss To Athletics. The pitching staff gave the White Sox a chance to win Tuesday's game against the Athletics, but the lineup couldn't come through in key situations during a 3-1 loss at Rate Field. Brooks Baldwin put the White Sox ahead early, driving a hanging slider 407 feet for a solo home run in the third inning. Bido induced a soft ground ball from Miguel Vargas for an out, then got out of the inning with a fly out from Nick Maton and a popout from Luis Robert Jr. with runners on first and third.

4/03/25 Brooks Baldwin' versatility is beneficial for the White Sox. Brooks Baldwin's aggressive mindset paid off. The White Sox' utility player settled into the batter's box, saw a pitch he liked and pounced for a first-pitch homer, his first of the season in the Sox' 6-1 loss to the Twins on Wednesday. Baldwin has been one of the early standouts for the White Sox with his versatility in the field and his bat. Baldwin noticed that Twins starter Pablo Lopez loves to attack the strike zone and had thrown him a changeup in his second at-bat, so he was ready to pounce.

Baldwin made his first major-league start in the outfield for the Sox in Saturday's 1-0 loss to the Angels. Baldwin played 26 games in the outfield in the minors and 50 in college.

11/12/24 Why the Chicago White Sox should name Brooks Baldwin the starting second baseman. Two problems down, several to go for the Chicago White Sox. Hiring manager Will Venable and director of hitting Ryan Fuller were the two most critical decisions the Sox needed to make before Winter Meetings. While general manager Chris Getz may continue to restructure the coaching and management staff before spring training, the primary focus of the rebuild now shifts to fixing the roster. Addressing the second base quandary should be at the top of the lengthy list.

8/16/24 White Sox rookie Brooks Baldwin developing under most trying of circumstances. HOUSTON -- Imagine breaking into the major leagues and not winning a game. Your first big league game, your first week in the majors, your first 16 games. All of it passing by, realizing your lifelong dream, and not experiencing victory for 18 days. So it went for White Sox rookie infielder Brooks Baldwin, who made his debut on July 19 in Kansas City, where the Sox lost 7-1, in the middle of the Sox' 21-game losing streak. The Sox finally broke the skid, which tied the American League record and was two shy of the major league record, on Aug. 6 at Oakland with a 5-1 win. Baldwin went 2-for-4 that night. “It's not the best of experiences,” Baldwin told the Sun-Times Friday before the Sox, losers

8/10/24 White Sox competitive in loss to Cubs, but they have to turn that into winning. It was a bad gaffe by White Sox shortstop Brooks Baldwin. After Cubs third baseman Isaac Paredes hit a two-out double in the fifth inning Saturday, Sox left fielder Andrew Benintendi fielded the ball after it hit the wall and threw it to Baldwin, the cutoff man. Rather than immediately firing the ball to the plate — where he potentially could have thrown out Cubs baserunner Cody Bellinger — Baldwin looked toward second base.
