4/26/25 | Patriots Exec Gets Candid on Shedeur Sanders Slide. Shedeur Sanders was not selected on Day 2 of the NFL Draft, and early on in Day 3, the Colorado Buffaloes superstar was still on the board. Obviously, the New England Patriots are not in the market for Sanders or any quarterback, as they already have Drake Maye under center. Source: https://www.si.com/nfl/patriots/news/new-england-p... |

4/25/25 | Drake Maye gives strong endorsement of Patriots' Will Campbell pick. The New England Patriots got Drake Maye some offensive line help with the fourth overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, selecting LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell. Shortly after the interview of Campbell speaking passionately of protecting Maye went viral, the Patriots quarterback shared his appreciation for his new teammate on social media. “Love this guy already,” Maye wrote in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, with a fire emoji. Campbell held back tears as he was being interviewed by NFL Network's Jamie Erdhal, who asked him what kind of tone he would set for the Patriots' offensive line to help protect Drake Maye. 4/23/25 | Patriots Mock Draft: First-Round Trade Turns Into 'Better Than Ideal' Haul. Opinions will be mixed on the question: What does an “ideal” draft look like for the New England Patriots? Others who have watched the league's worst offensive line will say ideal is finding Drake Maye's blindside protector. During NESN's “Foxboro Rush” podcast released Wednesday, George Balekji and I each illustrated our “ideal” scenarios. Trading back with the rival Jets isn't exactly commonplace for the Patriots, but in this case Gang Green presented an offer too good to pass up. 4/22/25 | Patriots insider suggests 2024 second-round receiver might be cut. The New England Patriots, on paper, already appear to have a significantly better roster than they did last season. The front office has rebuilt both sides of the ball upfront and added a few new weapons around quarterback Drake Maye. The headline addition on the outside in free agency is star wideout Stefon Diggs. The Patriots are hoping the four-time Pro Bowler can regain his elite form after an injury-ridden season with the Houston Texans. Source: https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/new-england-pa... |
4/22/25 | Patriots could cut ties with second rounder after just one season. The New England Patriots are entering a new era led by Mike Vrabel and Drake Maye. Ja'Lynn Polk was the 37th overall pick by the Patriots last season. NBC Sports' Patriots insider Tom E. Curran noted that the team could actually cut him this offseason. 4/21/25 | NFL mock draft: Chicago Bears stick to trenches at No. 10 overall. 1. Titans Cam Ward, QB, Miami The Titans have seemed locked in on Ward for about a month. New GM Mike Borgonzi gets his quarterback. 2. Browns Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado Cleveland has looked for a playmaker. They get one potentially on both sides of the ball in the 2025 Heisman winner. 3. Giants Abdul Carter, Edge, Penn State The Giants could go with a quarterback here. Instead, they take a potential cornerstone pass rusher. 4. Patriots Will Campbell, OT, LSU The Patriots don't overthink it and look too much into arm length. They get their tackle to protect quarterback Drake Maye. 5. Jaguars Mason Graham, DT, Michigan There's temptation to get a offensive playmaker for new head coach Liam Source: https://www.shawlocal.com/bears/2025/04/21/nfl-moc... |
4/21/25 | Patriots could trade for $14 million Saints starter to fill biggest roster need. The New England Patriots will be looking to upgrade their offensive line in the upcoming NFL Draft. While they could spend the 4th overall pick on a lineman, they may need more than one player to better protect Drake Maye. The New Orleans Saints could be headed for a long, overdue rebuild. FanSided's Michael DeVito urged the Patriots to trade for Trevor Penning. Source: https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/new-england-pa... |
4/21/25 | Analysis: Breaking Down OT Armand Membou as a Potential Patriots Draft Target. The only instance where Membou has some issues in pass protection is vs. speed-to-power. If that's the biggest issue on his pass protection tape, Membou is in good shape to handle the rigors of pass protection in the NFL. As we mentioned in the introduction, Membou would likely make the switch from right to left tackle to protect QB Drake Maye's blindside if the Patriots draft him. 4/20/25 | Patriots predicted to make shocking selection with 4th overall pick. The New England Patriots have the fourth overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. Ashton Jeanty is the best running back in this draft class and could be a real asset for Mike Vrabel and Drake Maye. The Patriots already have Rhamondre Stevenson, but Jeanty is a different type of playmaker. Source: https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/new-england-pa... |
4/20/25 | Patriots may cut ties with Rhamondre Stevenson in favor of $3.4 million RB. The New England Patriots continue to look for ways to improve their offense around second-year QB Drake Maye. One of the possible weaker links remaining for the Pats might be in the backfield, where Rhamondre Stevenson is coming off an underwhelming season. Stevenson is a limited receiving threat who also fumbled seven times this past season, and New England's free agent pickup of Antonio Gibson didn't deliver the desired resulted. Pro Football Network's Sterling Xie thinks the Pats should call the Tampa Bay Buccaneers about a trade for Rachaad White. White is entering the last year of his deal ($3.4 million) and is a bit of surplus for the Buccaneers given the emergence of Bucky Irving. 4/19/25 | Patriots Put on Blast for 'Amateur' Mistake. The New England Patriots selected Drake Maye with the third overall pick in the NFL Draft last year, which was clearly the right move. Unfortunately, it was pretty much the only thing the Patriots did correctly last offseason. Not only did New England strike out in free agency, but it did a horrendous job of cashing in on its other draft picks, which resulted in the Pats having arguably the least talented roster in the NFL in 2024. Perhaps one of the Patriots' most puzzling decisions last April was selecting quarterback Joe Milton III in the sixth round of the draft, even though they took Maye a couple of days earlier. 4/18/25 | Patriots Draft Profile: Don't Sleep On This Stud Prospect. The New England Patriots still need to find someone to protect Drake Maye, but after that, they could afford to make a couple of luxury picks. Hunter Henry has been great throughout his tenure with the franchise, serving as a reliable target for young quarterbacks like Mac Jones, Bailey Zappe and Drake Maye. Austin Hooper was great in his limited role last season and was brought back to solidify the position for at least one more season. Josh McDaniels is back calling plays, though, which means there are a few changes that need to be made for him to successfully implement the system we all expect him to run next season. 4/17/25 | Deuce's Mock Draft 2.0: Patriots Fortify the Trenches with Campbell, Add Playmakers and Depth. The 2025 NFL Draft finally arrives next week, and with it comes the opportunity for the Patriots to build upon a productive free agency period by stacking some young promising talent onto the depth chart, hopefully at the team's biggest positions of need. Once again, the assumption here for mock drafting purposes is that both Penn State's Abdul Carter and Colorado's Travis Hunter will be off the board, and in this scenario, the Patriots cannot find a trade partner to allow them to drop down a few spots and pick up even more capital. Last time I took a big swing on Ashton Jeanty, a running back whose selection might've gone against modern wisdom at the position, but it's one I believe would make an instant and unmistakable impact on Drake Maye's development and the offense as a whole. There are no big swings here for the final mock draft. Source: https://www.patriots.com/news/deuce-s-mock-draft-2... |
