12/20/24 Orioles Sign Former Angels Top Prospect Jordyn Adams to Minor League Deal. The Baltimore Orioles have signed outfielder Jordyn Adams to a minor league contract, FanSided's Robert Murray reported Friday morning. Adams, who turned 25 years old earlier this offseason, was the Los Angeles Angels' first round pick back in 2018. Despite that pedigree, the Angels designated Adams for assignment in November. Adams will now join the Orioles for their major league Spring Training camp in 2025.

11/19/24 Angels remove former 1st-round pick Jordyn Adams from 40-man roster. Jordyn Adams, the Angels' first-round draft pick in 2018, was designated for assignment as the team added new prospects to its 40-man roster ahead of Tuesday's deadline. Adams, an outfielder, and journeyman infielder Eric Wagaman were both removed from the roster to open spots for outfielder Matthew Lugo and left-hander Jack Dashwood. Tuesday was the deadline for teams to add minor leaguers who would have been eligible to be taken in the Rule 5 draft, thereby protecting them. Both Adams and Wagaman could clear waivers and remain in the organization.

9/18/24 White Sox heading for worst season in MLB history. As perseverance fades into futility, the Chicago White Sox, enduring the most miserable campaign in modern Major League Baseball history, are struggling to avoid setting an MLB season loss record. The White Sox lost 4-3 in 13 innings on Wednesday at the Los Angeles Angels, falling to 36-117 with nine games remaining in a nightmare six-month season. A Jordyn Adams single in the 13th inning drove in Eric Wagaman from third base with the winning run for the Angels, who rallied to tie the game three times. The 1962 New York Mets set the MLB record for most losses in a season with 120 while the 2003 Detroit Tigers own the American League record for most defeats with 119.

3/14/24 Ron Washington drops most Ron Washington quote ever about LA Angels' Jordyn Adams. Welp, it's time for Jordyn Adams to hit the weight room. At least that's what one could infer based on Ron Washington's latest comment about the Los Angeles Angels outfielder. According to Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register, Washington sees big things for Adams once he outgrows his "little baby body." Now before you spit your drink out all over your phone, Washington wasn't disparaging the 24-year-old, but rather trying to help Adams unlock his true potential.

3/13/24 Angels' Jordyn Adams: 'I probably wasn't ready' for big-league debut. Jordyn Adams' dream came true when he reached the big leagues, but it quickly became a nightmare. Adams, who had been known as an outstanding defender, misplayed a fly ball and made three bad throws in his first big-league game in August in Atlanta. Now, the Angels' 24-year-old prospect can look back on his big-league debut and appreciate what was missing. “Mentally, I probably wasn't ready for that,” Adams said this week.

8/19/23 Angels suffer most lopsided loss of 2023 in doubleheader split. ANAHEIM ? The ball bounced lazily to Angels center fielder Jordyn Adams, nicked off the heel of his glove, and skipped about 15 feet to his right. By the time he looked up, Yandy Diaz was rounding first, turning a routine single into a free trip to second base. Adams relayed the ball to the infield and slouched sadly, leaning his hands on his knees. The next batter, Randy Arozarena, hit a two-run home run in the Angels' 18-4 loss before an announced crowd of 35,803.
