The Angels on Tuesday optioned right-hander Chase Silseth, which is no surprise considering he'd allowed 15 earned runs in 13 innings this spring. Both have looked good this spring, so it's possible the Angels keep one of them in the bullpen, as they did with José Soriano to start the season last year. “Until we make that decision, that's on the table,” Angels manager Ron Washington said. Currently on the rehab trail, Silseth made his third appearance on Tuesday for Triple-A Salt Lake; however, it was far from a pretty one. Chase Silseth's confidence was soaring last summer, after encouraging performances against some of the best teams in baseball. The Angels right-hander was learning how to pitch, not just throw, and then it all came to a quick, frightening stop.
