4/11/25 Ramos states Giants 'don't back down from any fight' amid hot start. The Giants are riding high to begin the 2025 MLB season, and are playing with the utmost confidence heading into one of their most difficult stretches of games. San Francisco (9-3) has the second-best record in baseball behind the NL West-leading San Diego Padres (10-3) and slightly ahead of the defending World Series-champion Los Angeles Dodgers (10-4) as one of the biggest surprise teams early on this season. The Giants players, however, are not surprised by the team's excellent start to the season, as San Francisco outfielder Heliot Ramos explained in a Friday interview on "MLB Central."

4/08/25 San Francisco Giants Are Perfect When This Pitcher Takes The Mound. The San Francisco Giants have been the biggest surprise of the 2025 campaign. Firing out of the gates with everything clicking - from the offense, all the way to the bullpen - Bob Melvin is leading a potential playoff contender in the AL West. Jung Hoo Lee and Heliot Ramos are commanding the success train with 12 hits a piece, and Wilmer Flores has belted four home runs and 12 RBIs. The starter trio of Logan Webb, Jordan Hicks and Robbie Ray has consistently set the tone.

4/07/25 San Francisco Giants Veteran Outfielder Putting On Performance of a Lifetime. The San Francisco Giants are on an absolute tear to start off the 2025 season, going 8-1 and leading the NL West. This success is heavily reliant on the players who are exceeding expectations to start the year, including Heliot Ramos, Luis Matos, Jung Hoo Lee and Mike Yastrsemski. The latter of the group is the longest-tenured active player on the Giants, and he's been having an exceptional season.

4/02/25 Heliot Ramos ties franchise record in Giants win over Astros. Wilmer Flores slugged his fourth home run of the season, Heliot Ramos extended his extra-base hit streak and the visiting San Francisco Giants completed a three-game interleague sweep of the Houston Astros with a 6-3 victory on Wednesday. Flores belted the first of three homers by the Giants and ignited an early ambush of Astros left-hander Framber Valdez (1-1). Flores' 386-foot blast to left field drove home Willy Adames, who worked a one-out walk, and supplied the Giants a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning.

AP Photo | Carolyn Kaster CINCINNATI (AP) — Wilmer Flores hit a three-run homer with two outs in the ninth inning, and the San Francisco Giants rallied for a 6-4 victory over Cincinnati on Thursday, spoiling Terry Francona's debut as Reds manager. The Giants scored four runs in the ninth off Ian Gibaut (0-1). Patrick Bailey's base hit to right-center tied it at 3-all before Flores drove a hanging sweeper into the left-field stands. 3/27/25 Giants' expected 2025 MLB Opening Day starting lineup extends incredible left field streak. Heliot Ramos laughed earlier this week and nodded. Yes, the young Giants outfielder said, he was well aware that he would be added to the list, but he's hopeful somebody else isn't answering that question next March. Ramos is in left field as expected at Great American Ball Park, meaning the Giants are starting a different left fielder in their opener for a 19th consecutive season. Last year, Michael Conforto became No. 18, but he signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers in the offseason.

3/11/25 Giants notes: Could slight role change be coming for Ramos?. Giants manager Bob Melvin made some waves last month -- especially in South Korea -- when he announced that Jung Hoo Lee likely would hit third instead of leadoff. Heliot Ramos hit leadoff against Athletics lefty Jeffrey Springs on Tuesday night, and Melvin was intrigued by the way it looked. During a breakout 2024 MLB season, Ramos essentially turned into Aaron Judge against lefties.

3/04/25 Heliot Ramos makes spring debut as Giants tie with Padres. Heliot Ramos made his spring training debut for the Giants Tuesday and was feeling spry enough to steal a base in a 1-1 tie with the San Diego Padres at Peoria Stadium. Sidelined by a right oblique injury, the Giants have brought their surprise 2024 All-Star along with the idea of getting ready for Opening Day. Batting second in the order behind LaMonte Wade Jr., Ramos walked on four pitches from San Diego starter Nick Pivetta. Jung Hoo Lee was next, and as Lee was striking out, Ramos stole second, where he was stranded when Jerar Encarnacion struck out swinging.

2/23/25 SF Giants' Ramos likely out for week with mild oblique injury. The San Francisco Giants have only played one Cactus League game but the ailments are already adding up. Manager Bob Melvin told reporters on Sunday morning that left fielder Heliot Ramos is dealing with a minor oblique injury that will keep him out for roughly a week. Ramos, who missed several months with a right oblique strain in 2023, will be shut down completely for the time being. Backup catcher Tom Murphy has also been dealing with an oblique injury for about a week and will receive a second opinion on the injury.

2/18/25 Melvin outlines Giants' expectations for Ramos after breakout season. After a successful campaign from Heliot Ramos last year, Giants manager Bob Melvin expects the young outfielder to keep growing during the 2025 MLB season. Ramos went from an early camp cut in 2024 to first-time MLB All-Star later that season, providing a spark for San Francisco's lineup and proving he belongs in the big leagues. On the second full day of spring training in Scottsdale, Ariz., on Tuesday, Melvin explained how different things are for Ramos now.

2/15/25 San Francisco Giants Clubhouse Leader Predicted To Be Team's Only All-Star. The San Francisco Giants had two All-Stars last year. Last year, it was outfielder Heliot Ramos and starting pitcher Logan Webb who made it for San Francisco. Not going to Midsummer Classic in back-to-back seasons make sense, even if it would be disappointing.

1/07/25 San Francisco Giants Outfielder Primed for Improvement After Solid 2024 Season. With the San Francisco Giants' first pick of the 2017 MLB draft, the club selected Heliot Ramos out of Leadership Christian Academy in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. Ramos would spend the next five years in the franchise's minor league system, with many outlets ranking the outfielder as a top-100 prospect throughout before making his Major League debut on April 10, 2022. The young star would be optioned and recalled multiple times throughout the year, and see only 22 plate appearances at the MLB level.

11/18/24 Former San Francisco Giants Slugger Signs Deal With Chicago White Sox. When former top prospect Heliot Ramos finally emerged for the San Francisco Giants this year, their outfield became fairly crowded during the season and when looking ahead towards the future. Despite Jung Hoo Lee being sidelined with a shoulder injury that ended his rookie campaign, the everyday addition of Ramos alongside Michael Conforto, Mike Yastrzemski, Austin Slater and a rotating cast of minor leaguers because of injuries created a logjam. Because of that, the Giants decided to ship Slater out to the Cincinnati Reds on July 7 in exchange for pitcher Alex Young.

10/24/24 How Ramos, Fitzgerald breakouts impact Giants' offseason plans. Heliot Ramos and Tyler Fitzgerald are looking to prove their breakout San Francisco Giants seasons in 2024 weren't flukes.

10/20/24 Under the Radar Infielder Could Be Next San Francisco Giants Breakout Star. It was a disappointing result for the San Francisco Giants in 2024. The Giants had some breakout stars emerge in Heliot Ramos and Tyler Fitzgerald, who look to be part of their future. Matt Chapman silenced the doubters by putting together a great year that earned him a long-term contract extension that locks down San Francisco's third base position with a perennial Gold Glover. Before they go searching in free agency, the Giants will need to take a look at their internal options to see if they think anyone in their pipeline, or on the fringes of their Major League roster, can take that next step in their careers.

9/23/24 San Francisco Giants Star Prospect a Finalist for MiLB Award. The 2024 MLB season did not go according to plan for the San Francisco Giants. After spending a lot of money in the offseason, hoping to build off of a strong finish to the 2023 campaign, they fell woefully short of expectations. While this season was a disappointment, the future does look bright for the franchise. Outfielder Heliot Ramos was named an All-Star.
