Casey Mize has had an up-and-down career since the Detroit Tigers picked him No. 1 overall in the 2018 MLB Draft, but 2025 is shaping up to be a huge year for the right-hander. Mize underwent Tommy John surgery midway through 2022, missing the entire 2023 campaign as a result. A left hamstring strain limited Mize to 20 starts in 2024, all while his ERA climbed to 4.49 and his WAR dropped to 0.1.
