4/26/25 Colts Obtain Intriguing Day 2 Draft Grade. The Indianapolis Colts' second day of the NFL draft has concluded, and the roster looks a bit different with two new defenders added to Lou Anarumo's scheme. Round two (45th overall) consisted of Ohio State's defensive end J.T. Tuimoloau, and the third (80th overall) was Minnesota's cornerback Justin Walley. Starting with Tuimoloau, he was a force for the Ohio State Buckeyes off the edge during their championship run in 2024, with 12.5 sacks, 22 tackles for loss, and 61 total tackles.

4/25/25 Tyler Warren gets $21 million contract update after being drafted by Colts. The Indianapolis Colts landed a prospect they've been linked to since the start of the offseason, grabbing Penn State tight end Tyler Warren with the No. 14 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. While it wasn't clear whether the Colts would be able to land the First-Team All-American, especially after the Chicago Bears took Colston Loveland at No. 10, the patience from general manager Chris Ballard paid off. When it comes to his rookie deal, Sportac revealed that Warren will get a fully guaranteed four-year, $20.9 million contract.

4/25/25 Analysts Grade Chiefs Selection of Josh Simmons. On Thursday night, after the Chiefs drafted Josh Simmons with the last pick of the first round, Booger McFarland said he had the same injury when he played for the Indianapolis Colts. Simmons, a 6-5, 317-pound tackle from Ohio State, sustained a patellar injury in his left knee during the first half of an Oct. 12 loss at Oregon. The ensuing season-ending surgery allowed Simmons to slide to the Chiefs at the end of the first round, after a late-night trade with Philadelphia that netted Kansas City an additional fifth-round choice (164) for moving down one slot to pick Simmons.

Last year's draft was a big one for former UCLA Bruin Laiatu Latu, as he heard his name called in round one by the Indianapolis Colts at No. 15 overall. Latu was a two-year UCLA product who had his dream become a reality on draft day. Latu's journey, however, began with the Bruins.

4/24/25 Colts Should Target These Players on Day Two of NFL Draft. There's been plenty of commotion surrounding who the Indianapolis Colts will take with their first-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft, but there's plenty of starting talent down the board in this year's draft class. Looking at roster needs, there are a few spots the Colts need to address in the first three rounds. Most projections foresee the Colts focusing on the offensive line, linebacker, and tight end in the first two days of the draft. Obviously, the Colts' second and third round strategies will depend on the result from day one, but a few names stick out as potential targets for Indianapolis.

4/23/25 NFL insider links Colts as trade destination for star tight ends. It's no secret the Indianapolis Colts have a major need to upgrade the tight end position this offseason, and the 2025 NFL Draft seems to be the ideal path to do so. Holding the No. 14 overall pick, there's no guarantee the Colts will have the chance to land one of the top prospects in Penn State's Tyler Warren or Michigan's Colston Loveland. In that event, the Colts must have a pivot plan. Despite this class having perceptions of strong depth, the Colts could look to the trade market if they miss out on a first-round option like Warren or Loveland, according to Dan Graziano of ESPN.

4/22/25 Colts' Ballard Not Going to Shy Away From QB in Draft. The Indianapolis Colts are heading into the 2025 NFL draft with seven of their own picks, no more, no less. Barring any trades, the Colts will start their draft with the 14th overall pick on Thursday. There's been plenty of speculation on how the Colts will strategize their draft and if they'll focus on a "win now" concept. Colts general manager Chris Ballard has hardly given any insight into the team's plan, but it's easy to assume that they'll focus on highly athletic players like years prior.
