8/06/22 As Week 3 of training camp kicks off, how do the Packers' wideouts stack up so far?. We have some opportunity for some guys to kind of step into that role. Obviously (Adams) as a rookie wasn’t what he was when he left. Jordy Nelson as a rookie was returning kicks and I think he had two (receiving) touchdowns.

8/04/22 Romeo Doubs making strong first impression. QB hints at bright future for rookie WR

Aaron Rodgers doesn’t gas rookies … basically ever. Here he suggests the only WRs who made as many “wow” plays early in camp as Romeo Doubs, wound up “in the top 10 in Packers receiving history.” (Peter Bukowski on Twitter)

FF Today's Take: The implication here is that Doubs could be on the same track as players such as Davante Adams, Jordy Nelson, Greg Jennings and/or Randall Cobb with his early play in camp. It has been a consistently positive and steady drumbeat over the last month for Doubs, who may be forcing his way into the starting lineup. He needs to be on a roster in dynasty leagues. He may even have some WR4 appeal in redraft leagues if he can beat out Sammy Watkins and Christian Watson for a starting job.

7/29/21 Mike Johnson: Aaron Rodgers simply wants things his way, nothing more. First, probably the most important thing he aired out was his anger and frustration over how the team has treated important, veteran players in the past who the team decided to let go. He listed Charles Woodson, Julius Peppers and Jordy Nelson, among others. In each case, the players he referenced were well past their most productive seasons and the Packers were correct in letting them walk so they could direct their resources to other, younger players.

11/09/20 Best in the business? Wherever he ranks, Davante Adams' game has gone to elite level. A second-round pick in 2014, Adams’ breakthrough year had been in 2016, when he caught 75 passes for 997 yards and 12 touchdowns — despite playing with a pair of Pro Bowl receivers in Jordy Nelson (who had 97 receptions for 1,257 yards and 14 touchdowns that year) and Randall Cobb. But the following year, when Aaron Rodgers missed nine games and most of another with a broken collarbone, Adams’ numbers dropped — although not as precipitously as Nelson’s and Cobb’s — with backup Brett Hundley at q...
