| 4/19/25 | Guardians reliever returns to PNC Park one year after scary injury. Friday's return to PNC Park was big for Guardians reliever Jakob Junis on a variety of levels. It was the first time Junis was back in Pittsburgh since August when he was playing for Cincinnati, but it also marked the nearly one year anniversary of a scary incident that saw the veteran right-hander carted off the field on a stretcher. Junis was on the Brewers roster on April 22, 2024, rehabbing a shoulder injury and had just finished playing catch at PNC Park when he was running sprints in the outfield with his back to home plate. | 2/16/25 | Guardians add RHP Jakob Junis on 1-year deal. The Cleveland Guardians added right-hander Jakob Junis on Sunday with a one-year, $4.5 million deal. Junis, 32, was a combined 4-0 with a career-best 2.69 ERA in 24 appearances (six starts) with the Milwaukee Brewers and Cincinnati Reds last season. He missed time because of a shoulder injury, as well as a freak incident when he was hit in the neck by a fly ball during batting practice.
