4/21/25 Milwaukee Brewers steal 9 bases in win over Athletics. (LEARFIELD) – Rhys Hoskins had three hits, a home run and drove in four runs and rookie Logan Henderson tossed six innings of 1-run, 3-hit ball in his Major League debut, beating the Athletics 14-1. The Brewers stole a franchise record 9 bases in the win. Six of the 9 stolen bases came in the first inning, when the Brewers pulled off a pair of double steals. Henderson talked about his debut. https://media-cdn.socastsrm.com/wordpress/wp-content/blogs.dir/2499/files/2025/04/042125mil4-1.mp3 He also talked about being able to be successful in it. https://media-cdn.socastsrm.com/wordpress/wp-content/blogs.dir/2499/files/2025/04/042125mil5-1.mp3 Brice Turang stole three bases and scored three times.

Rhys Hoskins went 3 for 5 with a homer, four RBIs and one of Milwaukee's franchise-record nine steals and Logan Henderson recorded nine strikeouts in his major league debut as the Brewers trounced the Athletics 14-1 on Sunday. Brice Turang scored three runs and stole three bases to help the Brewers win the rubber match of this series. Christian Yelich also scored three runs.

4/01/25 Brewers Slugger Wants To Poach Yankees' Game-Changing Idea. The Milwaukee Brewers certainly got a look at the brand new "torpedo" bat that has been made famous by the New York Yankees. Milwaukee faced off against the Yankees in the first series of the 2025 Major League Baseball season and lost all three years. New York had a power surge for the ages and clubbed 15 home runs across the team's first three games of the season against Milwaukee. It was an interesting series, to say the least, and Brewers slugger Rhys Hoskins already made it clear that he wants to try out the new bat, as shared by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Todd Rosiak.

3/21/25 Brewers Sluggers' Insane Spring Has Turned Heads. The Milwaukee Brewers entered Spring Training with a lot of question marks in the infield. Rhys Hoskins always was going to be the team's starting first baseman but every other spot has been up in the air. It has been shared that Joey Ortiz will be at shortstop and Brice Turang will be at second base. Third base hasn't been announced yet, but it seems like Oliver Dunn could have the inside track to the Opening Day spot.

3/18/25 Klay Thompson's brother leading Red Sox with massive spring training. Spring training is nearly complete as Opening Day is right around the corner. One team to keep an eye on is the Boston Red Sox, as they've created a stellar roster for the 2025 campaign. The Red Sox outfielder has recorded six home runs during spring training, which has him tied with the most in the league right now alongside Milwaukee Brewers' Rhys Hoskins, Chicago White Sox's Gavin Sheets, and Minnesota Twins' Matt Wallner.

1/13/25 Why Signing Ex-Cardinals' All-Star Should Be Brewers' Top Priority. The Milwaukee Brewers' infield alignment still seems to be up in the air. With Willy Adams leaving the Brewers to join the San Francisco Giants, Milwaukee has to sort out the infield. Rhys Hoskins opted into his deal for 2025 and will be the team's starting first baseman barring an injury or trade. Second base likely will be manned by Brice Turang after a Gold Glove Award-winning 2024 campaign with Milwaukee.

12/06/24 Uncustomed Heroes of 2024: Brewers. The last time the Milwaukee Brewers advanced in the playoffs was 2018. There's only 4 people from that team still on this current iteration of the Brewers, two of them were injured for the majority of the season, and one of them was injured for...less than the other two. You can argue, in many ways, that this 2024 team is better than the one that made the NLCS, and has a brighter future ahead of it...but even with a new manager, new young options at multiple positions, strong defense and an MVP candidate, the Brewers still lost in the first round of the playoffs. Rhys Hoskins was an excellent addition as a power bat, as he hit 26 home runs and 82 RBIs.

11/25/24 Rhys Hoskins Reportedly Is Preventing Brewers From Signing Former MVP After Opting In. The Milwaukee Brewers will be looking to upgrade their roster in free agency this winter, but one intra-division rival's star is reportedly off the table. The Major League Baseball offseason is officially underway, and rumors continue to swirl regarding top names on the market. First baseman Rhys Hoskins recently opted in to his contract with Milwaukee for 2025, which reportedly will prevent the club from landing a former St. Louis Cardinals superstar. "The Brewers would love to find a way to get former Cardinals All-Star first baseman Paul Goldschmidt on their roster, and would have been all-in if first baseman Rhys Hoskins had opted out of his contract."

11/01/24 Brewers' Rhys Hoskins exercises his $18 million option for 2025 season. facebook twitter email CBS 58 MILWAUKEE (AP) — Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Rhys Hoskins exercised his $18 million option for 2025 on Friday rather than take a $4 million buyout and again become a free agent. Hoskins had signed a $34 million, two-year contract in January after missing the 2023 season due to a torn ACL sustained while fielding a grounder in a spring training game with the Philadelphia Phillies. The deal includes an $18 million mutual option for 2026 with a $4 million buyout. The 31-year-old hit .214 with a .303 on-base percentage, .419 slugging percentage, 26 homers and 82 RBIs this season. His batting average, on-base percentage and slugging percentage were career lows. Hoskins

10/17/24 Philadelphia Phillies Ex-Fan Favorite Predicted To Opt Into Deal With Current Team. The Philadelphia Phillies looked a bit different over the past two seasons without Rhys Hoskins in their lineup. Hoskins was on the team in 2023, but he didn't play in a game after tearing his ACL in spring training. In the following offseason, the right-handed slugger signed a contract with the Milwaukee Brewers. Hoskins' situation with the Phillies was a tough one to come to terms with.

10/05/24 Mets' magic about to get put to test by powerful Phillies. PHILADELPHIA — The Mets warmed up for the main event by settling an old score with a chatty old villain named Rhys Hoskins. You recall Hoskins: charter member of the Phillies revival a few years back, before he went down with a knee injury. Hit 15 homers as a Phillie against the Mets, including one in which he took 34 seconds to tour the bases, savoring every instant after the man who threw the ball, Jacob Rhame, had previously nearly brained him with a pitch. He hit two more against them this year as a Brewer, including a grand slam last Friday off Sean Manaea that threatened to halt their Pixie Dust Express before it ever left the station. And, of course, you probably remember Opening Day,

10/01/24 Who do the Phillies play next? An NLDS matchup with Rhys Hoskins or the Mets on deck.. The Phillies either have a reunion with a beloved ex or rendezvous with another heated rival. Philadelphia has to wait a few more days to find out which club it'll see across the table, but it knows it will either be Rhys Hoskins and the Milwaukee Brewers or the New York Mets. Game 1 will be Saturday at Citizens Bank Park. As the Wild Card Series gets underway Tuesday, let's examine how the Phillies fared against the Brewers and Mets this season.

9/23/24 Brewers Massive Comeback Avoids Sweep. MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers had dropped three games in a row to the Arizona Diamondbacks and for much of Sunday it looked like it would be four. But, the Brewers came roaring back from an 8-0 deficit and beat the DBacks 10-9 on Sunday afternoon at American Family Field. It was Milwaukee's biggest comeback since 2004 and only the fourth time in franchise history that they rallied from such a big deficit. The big hits came from Rhys Hoskins and Jake Bauers. Hoskins, who drove in three runs on the day, fought off a slider on a 3-2 two out pitch in the 8th for a bloop single that drove in two runs and tied the game. Bauers followed with a swinging bunt that rolled past the pitcher
