4/24/25 SF Giants win series as Adames drives in go-ahead run versus old team. Comebacks have been the norm for the Giants this season. The Brewers learned that firsthand. Willy Adames drove in the go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth inning against his former team to complete a three-run comeback as the Giants defeated the Brewers, 6-5, on Thursday afternoon at Oracle Park to take three of four games from Milwaukee. “We feel confident that we have a really good team and that we're going to make a comeback at any point,” said Adames.

4/22/25 Giants SS Willy Adames' error issues continue in battle vs. Brewers. Willy Adames' homecoming to Milwaukee hasn't gone according to script. After going 0-for-3 in Monday's opener against his former team, the San Francisco Giants shortstop followed up with a costly error in Tuesday night's 11-3 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers, continuing a troubling early-season trend. Although he did get a hit Tuesday night, he went 1-for-4 and now sits with just a home run, 11 RBIs and just 18 hits through 24 games. The error, his third of the season, came in the sixth inning and opened the door for a Milwaukee scoring surge. It was the kind of routine play fans expect Adames to make, especially given his defensive reputation and the $182 million contract he inked this past winter.

4/21/25 Brewers to see familiar face in series vs. Willy Adames, Giants. The Milwaukee Brewers will get a chance to visit an old pal when they open a four-game road series against Willy Adames and the San Francisco Giants on Monday night. The teams flew into San Francisco on Sunday night experiencing opposite emotions. While the Brewers were celebrating a 14-1 thumping of the Athletics to complete a series win and a 4-2 homestand, the Giants were lamenting having squandered a three-run, ninth-inning lead in a 5-4 loss to the Los Angeles Angels that completed a 5-5 trip. Adames was a driving force in back-to-back National League Central titles by the Brewers in 2023 and 2024.

4/17/25 Phillies' Cristopher Sanchez turns clock back to Cole Hamels with career best. Christopher Sanchez is one of the best pitchers in the MLB, and he proved it again on Thursday against Willy Adames and the San Francisco Giants. The Philadelphia Phillies ace put together an all-time performance for manager Rob Thomson. Sanchez became the first left-handed Philadelphia pitcher to record at least 12 strikeouts in a game since Cole Hamels had 13 Ks in 2015, per Matt Gelb of The Athletic.

4/13/25 Yankees Could Surprisingly Move On From Ex-Brewers All-Star By July. A former Milwaukee Brewers two-time All-Star is struggling mightily with his new team in 2025. The Brewers disappointed a lot of their fans this past offseason when they moved on from not one, but two stars by trading shortstop Willy Adames and closer Devin Williams to the San Francisco Giants and New York Yankees, respectively. Both Adames and Williams are expected to have huge impacts on their new clubs, but that hasn't been the story for Williams so far. Williams has accrued an ERA of 9.00 and an 0-1 record in five appearances for the Yankees to begin the year.

4/01/25 San Francisco Giants Pitcher Predicted To Win NL Comeback Player of the Year. With the regular season underway for the San Francisco Giants, the franchise must be pleased with the early results. To start the campaign, the Giants are off a nice 3-1 start. Since San Francisco has been under the .500 mark for the last three seasons, getting over that hump and trying to compete for a playoff spot is the goal this year. After the offseason, the Giants were able to have an improved lineup thanks to the addition of Willy Adames in the middle of the batting order.

3/21/25 Giants' Justin Verlander drops honest Buster Posey admission. The San Francisco Giants are entering a new era in 2025. New shortstop Willy Adames is the headliner but changes to the rotation and upstairs have Cooperstown connections. “In his talks with Posey, Verlander found it refreshing to communicate with a decision-maker who valued qualities the analytics could not measure,” ESPN's Alden Gonzalez wrote.

3/19/25 Giants listed as surprise landing spot for Blue Jays 4x All-Star. The San Francisco Giants had a mixed bag of an offseason. They managed to sign Willy Adames and Justin Verlander, but also lost former Cy Young winner Blake Snell to the Los Angeles Dodgers. They're going to have a tough time contending in the National League West, especially with the San Diego Padres and Arizona Diamondbacks also standing in the way. However, it's never too early to discuss the trade deadline and what could take place in July. Mike Axisa of CBS Sports listed San Francisco as a potential landing spot for Vladimir Guerrero Jr. "I admit, this is a long shot, but I don't think it's impossible. The Blue Jays and Guerrero were unable to agree to a long-term contract before his self-imposed

3/18/25 Adames was rare Giants free-agent target not scared off by ballpark. Willy Adames' first home run at Scottsdale Stadium this spring was a towering fly ball that at first looked like it would be caught on the outfield grass. The right fielder lifted his glove before even reaching the warning track, but the ball kept carrying and carrying in the thin air and landed on the Charro Lodge deck as Adames flipped his bat toward the home dugout. At Oracle Park, it would have been a routine fly ball, and Adames knows that's what he signed up for. In December, he became the first free-agent position player to ever take a contract of more than $150 million from the Giants, and he's just the third hitter, period, to sign a nine-figure deal with the organization.

3/15/25 Strong Spring From San Francisco Giants Offense Could Be Good Sign for This Season. It's a good time to review their spring training performance, noting who has stood out and who may be saving their hits for April. There is tempered optimism surrounding the Giants, mainly because they finished fourth in the NL West last year and others in the division imrpoved their rosters, too. The signing of Willy Adames can't be called quiet, and San Francisco has positioned themselves to compete for 162 games and challenge the rest of the teams in the NL West.

3/13/25 Forgotten San Francisco Giants Pitcher Could Be NL Cy Young Dark Horse. The San Francisco Giants are looking to prove doubters wrong this season. While they made some improvements to their roster, most notably bringing in Willy Adames and Justin Verlander in free agency, the reality is the Giants finished fourth place in their own division last year and don't seemed poised to take a huge step forward. One way San Francisco can exceed expectations is by getting improvements from the players who were previously on this roster. Jung Hoo Lee is back after his season-ending shoulder surgery.
