3/12/25 Former Chicago White Sox, Seattle Mariners Reliever Hits Snag in Comeback Attempt. Kendall Graveman has hit an injury snag in his comeback attempt with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Graveman, who missed all of 2024 because of shoulder surgery, is now having back issues, according to Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports. Torey Lovullo said Kendall Graveman has experienced more back tightness since throwing to live hitters yesterday.

3/10/25 Torey Lovullo Gives Three Diamondbacks Health Updates. The Arizona Diamondbacks have been bit by the injury bug somewhat this spring, but some of their injured players are progressing in the right direction. Manager Torey Lovullo provided an update on three members of the D-backs' big league camp. This was reported Monday by Arizona Sports 98.7's Alex Weiner on X/Twitter. Right-hand reliever Kendall Graveman, who missed all of 2024 with a shoulder injury, had been suffering from back tightness.

3/05/25 Diamondbacks Reliever Gives Important Health Update. Arizona Diamondbacks reliever Kendall Graveman has recently been dealing with back tightness, something he originally felt during a bullpen session last Saturday. The right-hander was signed to a one-year $1.35 million deal by the D-backs earlier this spring, after sitting out all of 2024, having undergone shoulder surgery at the tail end of 2023. Graveman had already thrown muiltiple bullpens and was progressing well before this newest setback. Jack Sommers of Arizona Diamondbacks ON SI got a chance to catch up with the former Astros reliever.

2/20/25 Kendall Graveman can earn up to $3.3 million for 1 year in Diamondbacks contract. The 34-year-old missed last season following surgery in January 2024 to repair the labrum in his right shoulder.

2/17/25 Diamondbacks DFA Reliever, Make Signing Official. On Monday, the Diamondbacks officially signed the right-handed reliever, Kendall Graveman. In a corresponding move, righty reliever Seth Martinez was designated for assignment. The 40-man roster is now full at 40. Martinez, an Arizona native and former ASU Sun Devil, was one of the earliest moves made by the D-backs this offseason.

The 34-year-old is a nine-year veteran of the Toronto Blue Jays, Oakland Athletics, Seattle Mariners, Houston Astros and White Sox.

8/10/24 Astros' reliever receives important injury update. The Houston Astros are in a dogfight for the American League West. Astros' relief pitcher Kendall Graveman has received less attention after undergoing offseason surgery. Graveman needed the procedure to repair a tear in his right shoulder labrum. 10/15/23 Houston reliever Graveman won't be on ALCS roster against Texas because of shoulder problem. Houston Astros reliever Kendall Graveman won't be on the AL Championship Series roster against the Texas Rangers because of right shoulder discomfort. The right-hander missed the Division Series with the problem but had hoped that he could recover in time for the next round. Instead, manager Dusty Baker said Saturday that “he's not improved” and Graveman wouldn't be on the roster for the series, which begins Sunday night. Graveman, who was acquired in a trade with the White Sox in July, was 2-2 with a 2.42 ERA in 23 appearances for Houston this season.

Houston reliever Kendall Graveman was left off the AL Division Series roster against the Minnesota Twins because of right shoulder discomfort. Graveman, who was acquired in a trade with the White Sox in July, was 2-2 with a 2.42 ERA in 23 appearances for Houston this season. For the Twins, designated hitter Byron Buxton remained out with a sore knee after also being left off the Wild Card Series roster.
