Let's explain: Trevor Hauver, one of four players acquired from the New York Yankees in exchange for Joey Gallo four years ago, has been the most productive position player through the Texas Rangers' first three Cactus League games. The 26-year-old outfielder has had a hit in each of his three exhibition games and has hit a pair of homers. The Yankees sent Hauver, infielder Josh Smith, infielder Ezequiel Duran and right-hander Glenn Otto to Texas at the 2021 trade deadline for Gallo who, ironically, started at first base for the Chicago White Sox on Monday vs. the Rangers at Camelback Ranch in Glendale.
