4/06/25 Byron Buxton paces Twins into series finale vs. Astros. As Byron Buxton goes, the Minnesota Twins tend to go. Houston captured the series opener on Friday before Minnesota bounced back to win on Saturday. Buxton played a big role in the 6-1 win Saturday as he keyed a six-run inning that put the Twins on top for good. "He's a jump-starter," Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said of Buxton.

4/05/25 Twins' Byron Buxton sends reminder: He's fast, and he's healthy. It's easy to be skeptical, but that attitude has worked for Paddack in the past. Nine times in his seven-year career, Paddack has allowed six or more runs in a start. Each time, he rebounded impressively in his next start, posting a 2.15 ERA over 54 ? innings and pitching his team to victory in seven of them. And in his previous two rough starts for the Twins? He followed up with 13 ? shutout innings.

4/03/25 Weather might not cooperate for Twins' homer opener vs. Astros. Through the first four games of the season, the Twins had a goose egg in the win column. An offensive jolt from Byron Buxton and Carlos Correa played a big role in the happier mindset. Both players struggled to start the season but contributed multi-hit games in a 6-1 win on Wednesday, and Buxton delivered his first homer in the form of a 446-foot blast into the left field bleachers. "When they start sparking things and they start having those really good at-bats, we play well," Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said.

4/01/25 Twins' Byron Buxton wants people to quit freaking out over torpedo bats. Minnesota Twins fans could use a distraction following an 0-4 start to the 2025 MLB season, and center fielder Byron Buxton might have given them a small one via his recent comments. The 2022 All-Star is the latest player to weigh in on the emerging torpedo bats, which have commanded much attention through the first week of the campaign. New York Yankees play-by-play broadcaster Michael Kay piqued curiosity when he brought attention to a uniquely shaped bat that Anthony Volpe and Jazz Chisholm Jr. were swinging in versus the Milwaukee Brewers last weekend.

3/30/25 Twins eye first win of '25, open series at White Sox. Minnesota, which ended a disappointing 2024 season with four consecutive losses, continued its subpar play in the first series of 2025. The Twins were swept by the host St. Louis Cardinals and outscored 19-6 in the three defeats. Byron Buxton's first-inning RBI single on Sunday gave Minnesota its only lead of the series, before starter Bailey Ober allowed eight runs in 2 2/3 innings to punctuate the team's tough start. Despite an inauspicious first series, Minnesota manager Rocco Baldelli believes the law of averages will even things out, especially at the plate.
