8/03/25 3 curves that bent game into a Cardinals' victory: Pedro Pages called 2, crushed 1. Cardinals catcher Pedro Pages shook off the first choice of the batboy and called for another replacement from the rack for the one he just broke. In the fourth inning late Saturday night at Petco Park, the Cardinals trailed by four runs early, nibbled into the Padres' lead to begin the fourth, and put two on with one out for Pages. The starting catcher had gone nearly five weeks since his last home run, felt his batting average drain to .201, and here he was behind in the count with his team behind in the game. The Cardinals' comeback for an 8-5 victory against the Padres included a resolute start by Michael McGreevy near his hometown, a scoreless turn by two relievers trying to hold their first lead for a post-Ryan Helsley bullpen, and a 422-foot launch of that pitch by Pages to tie the game.

8/02/25 Cardinals storm back to end Padres' winning streak. Pedro Pages cracked a three-run homer to tie the game and Masyn Winn snapped a tie with a two-run double as the visiting St. Louis Cardinals rallied from an early 4-0 deficit to topple the San Diego Padres 8-5 on Saturday. Michael McGreevy (3-2) shrugged off a rough beginning to earn the win, allowing seven hits and four runs over six innings. JoJo Romero got the last four outs for his first save despite yielding a two-out RBI single to Freddy Fermin in the ninth. Randy Vasquez (3-5) permitted eight hits and five runs in four-plus innings, walking none and striking out three.

Pedro Pages is expected to get the bulk of the action behind the plate with Herrera out. Catcher Yohel Pozo was brought up from Triple-A Memphis, and he was in the starting lineup for the Cardinals' game at Pittsburgh.

3/18/25 Pages proves offensive potential for Cardinals with first spring training homer. Pedro Pages arrived in the majors last year with a reputation of being a defense-first catcher. While that is still true, he is trying to show this spring that he can contribute to the Cardinals on offense as well. Pages and Jose Fermin hit back-to-back home runs in the seventh inning on Tuesday as the Cardinals played to a tie against the Marlins. “It's something I've been working on in the cages,” Pages said.
