| 8/21/25 | Ex-Lions, Wolverines WR released by Saints. Former Michigan receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones was released by the New Orleans Saints on Thursday a day after the team acquired another wideout via trade. New Orleans, which sent a 2026 fourth-round pick and 2027 seventh-round pick to the Broncos for Devaughn Vele, released Peoples-Jones to make room on the roster. Peoples-Jones, a 2020 sixth-round pick of the Browns who spent 2023 and 2024 with the Detroit Lions' organization, had a quiet preseason with the Saints after signing a one-year deal this offseason. The 6-foot-2 former five-star recruit out of Detroit Cass Tech didn't record any receptions in the team's first two preseason games and returned two punts for 17 yards.
