7/29/25 | Fantasy Football Deep Sleeper Watch: New York Giants WR Jalin Hyatt. Jalin Hyatt entered the NFL as a raw but explosive deep threat, and he's spent the offseason adding strength and polish to his game. With an expanded role on the horizon and his blazing speed still intact, Hyatt is one of the top breakout candidates in the Giants' wide receiver corps for 2025. Hyatt can create some catches over the short areas of the field on comeback routes, but his skill set needs some polish on shorter pass patterns. After two short seasons (20/276/2 and 21/226/2) in college, Hyatt shined as the Tennessee Volunteers' big-play wide receiver. Source: https://www.si.com/onsi/fantasy/nfl/fantasy-footba... |
7/25/25 | New York Giants Camp Report Day 3: A Brief Scare, O-line Concern, and More. Head coach Brian Daboll has been eager to have the players work in pads, but according to CBA guidelines, teams cannot do so until they have been acclimated to camp for five days. The current CBA limits the number of padded practices between the veteran reporting date and the final day of preseason training camp to 16. Daboll hasn't said what his plans are, as he's likely going to take each day as it comes, but given how ill-prepared the Giants looked last year to start the season, it probably wouldn't hurt for the players to take full advantage of their padded practices as much as possible. Receiver Jalin Hyatt, who during last month's mandatory minicamp suffered a left hamstring strain, was held out of Friday's practice due to some tightness and cramping he experienced in Thursday's session. 7/14/25 | 25 Questions in 25 Days: Sleeper players to follow. 9) Who are some sleeper players to follow? Dan Salomone: Let's start with two players who might not be on everyone's radar – unless you followed along this spring. Safety Dane Belton and wide receiver Jalin Hyatt turned heads at OTAs, the former doing what he does best with forcing turnovers and the latter entering a crucial third year with the full confidence of 10-time Pro Bowl quarterback Russell Wilson. Defensive coordinator Shane Bowen is stressing takeaways (see: the tale of the turnover chest) and said they will find ways to get Belton, who recovered a fumble on the opening kickoff of his NFL debut, on the field in a crowded secondary. Getty Images It is often a bit overblown to label an upcoming season as “crucial'' or as “decisive'' or the ever-popular “career-defining'' for a young player trying to make his way in the NFL. Sure, every season is important but not every season is all-important, when it comes to determining whether that player will make it in the league or fall by the wayside. 6/17/25 | Young Receivers Step Up in Day 1 of NY Giants Mandatory Minicamp. The NY Giants mandatory minicamp got underway with a nearly two-hour practice Tuesday, held inside the team's field house, and the format, for the most part, according to head coach Brian Daboll, was the same as it's been during the OTAs that concluded last week, at least for the on-field part of things. Here are some takeaways from the first of the two-day minicamp. Receiver Jalin Hyatt, who had been enjoying a productive spring in taking the reps that normally would go to Malik Nabers (toe), left practice early with a left leg issue. 6/15/25 | WR Jalin Hyatt Facing Make-or-break Year with NY Giants. Two years ago, Jalin Hyatt was selected by the NY Giants in the third round of the draft to be a long-term offensive weapon for their receiving corps. Now entering his third NFL season, he's yet to launch his career off the ground due to limited opportunities, porous play, and the emergence of other teammate wide receivers. Through 33 games, Hyatt has been targeted 59 times and collected 31 receptions for 435 career receiving yards with zero receiving scores. Hyatt was labeled as a deep threat coming out of the University of Tennessee, and he demonstrated this on tape throughout his junior year in college, where he led the country in receiving yards (1,267) and receiving touchdowns (15). 6/10/25 | This Giants Player Could Make Surprising Impact in 2025, Claims New Analysis. The New York Giants have experienced considerable disappointment as a franchise since their surprising 9-7-1 campaign in 2022, marking the first season of the Joe Schoen-Brian Daboll regime. Few have been more noticeable on the individual level than wide receiver Jalin Hyatt and his strange lack of a presence in their offense. Hyatt, the team's 2023 third-round pick out of Tennessee, came to East Rutherford feeling like he would become one of the best early splash moves made in the draft by Schoen and Daboll. When the Giants selected Hyatt, they surely had hoped he would bolster the vertical abilities of their offense and add an extra set of explosive hands into the passing game.
