General manager John Spytek put together a promising roster for the Silver and Black ahead of the 2025 NFL season, and Pete Carroll is the perfect coach to help them reach their potential. While training camp has given Raider Nation a taste, the fan base is ready to see the team in action. On Thursday, the team will travel to Seattle to play the Seahawks, Carroll and Geno Smith's old team, in their first preseason tilt.

8/03/25 Overlooked Raiders rookie just torched camp like his career depended on it. The Las Vegas Raiders solved their quarterback issues this offseason with the addition of Geno Smith. The veteran signal-caller was acquired in a trade just before free agency, and he is one of the only players on the roster who is a non-disputed starter ahead of the 2025 NFL season. New general manager John Spytek and head coach Pete Carroll were reportedly shopping backup quarterback Aidan O'Connell, who has had to take the reins due to injury or poor play in each of the last two seasons. With a surefire starter and a competent backup, the new regime did not need to select a young quarterback in the early rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft.

8/02/25 Ex-Raiders QB Signs Contract With 49ers. The Las Vegas Raiders shook up their quarterback room this offseason with the trade for Geno Smith and the drafting of Cam Miller. Carter Bradley was one returning player fighting for a roster spot, but the team decided to cut him before the start of training camp. Aidan O'Connell is set to be the only returning quarterback from last season.

7/31/25 Former Raiders draft pick ready for breakout season in Year 3. There is a lot of excitement in the building regarding the Las Vegas Raiders, especially on offense. The addition of Geno Smith has breathed life into this offense, and Ashton Jeanty could make this one of the league's most balanced and potent units. The Raiders finished 25th in points allowed per game last year, which was a big drop-off from their 2023 season when they finished ninth. Allowing 25.5 points per contest just isn't going to cut it if the Raiders want to compete in the AFC West this year.

7/30/25 Seattle Seahawks prized rookie is learning from an unlikely source in camp. Geno Smith was sacked 50 times in 17 games for the Seattle Seahawks in 2024. It's also why they targeted an offensive lineman with their first pick in the 2025 NFL draft. At No. 18 overall, Seattle selected Grey Zabel out of North Dakota State. Thankfully, he has a couple of studs to work against during Seattle's training camp.

7/28/25 How Raiders rookie Ashton Jeanty's football dominance started as a QB in Italy. The Las Vegas Raiders have been busy resculpting their team so far this offseason, including acquiring Geno Smith to be their next quarterback as well as hiring Pete Carroll as head coach. The team also drafted running back Ashton Jeanty out of Boise State this past April, hoping to give themselves a boost in the backfield. Jeanty grew up in Italy because his father was a commanding officer at a naval support base there, and he quickly endeared himself to the community with his athletic talents.

7/27/25 Raiders' Maxx Crosby declares Ashton Jeanty has that 'dawg' in him. With Las Vegas Raiders rookie Ashton Jeanty already impressing his new teammates in training camp, one player who has come out and complimented the running back is star Maxx Crosby. As the Raiders are using training to fix their flaws for the upcoming season, Crosby would appear on NFL Network to talk about what he has seen from Jeanty so far. The sixth overall pick from the most recent NFL Draft is no doubt receiving a ton of hype after a Heisman-finalist season with Boise State last season. With many fans hoping that production translates to the NFL level, Crosby believes it will and speaks about how he has the same mindset as him and quarterback Geno Smith.

7/26/25 Raiders Sign UFL Playoff Standout, Champion to Bolster Receiving Depth. The Las Vegas Raiders expect to be more dynamic on offense this season under new quarterback Geno Smith and head coach Pete Carroll, adding weapons on that side of the ball throughout the offseason. The Raiders made another move on the eve of training camp by signing former UFL and Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Seth Williams. The Auburn product joined the DC Defenders during the season and played a key role in the team's run to the UFL championship.

7/26/25 The Raiders Are Taking Things One Step at a Time. Training camp is officially under way and the Las Vegas Raiders have changed everything from their roster to the way they conduct practice. A new coaching regime, and a solid offseason full of new additions have made the Raiders' training camp and upcoming season worth watching. The Raiders still need to make more progress between now and the regular season, but they are a better team on paper at this point in the offseason than they were last season at this time. Following training camp, Geno Smith noted that he has not sensed a significant difference in Carroll from their time together in Seattle.

7/24/25 Raiders QB Geno Smith Sounds Off on OC Chip Kelly. The Las Vegas Raiders got a new look on the offensive side of the ball this offseason. The Raiders went out and traded for veteran quarterback Geno Smith. That is a massive upgrade for the Raiders this season. That now gives the team a quarterback who knows what it takes to win in the National Football League. It also allows them the leadership they have been looking for in that position. That Raiders' new head coach, Pete Carroll, and new general manager, John Spytek, knew that they needed a quarterback who knows how to win in the NFL if they wanted to compete in 2025.
