8/05/25 Ravens Hope to Learn from DeAndre Hopkins. The Baltimore Ravens' wide receiver room is one of the more versatile positional groups their roster has to offer. They have young weapons like Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman still entering their primes, older targets like Mark Andrews who understand the Baltimore system as well as anyone and a litany of pass-catchers for Lamar Jackson to air the ball out to. Some analysts have pointed to this sector of the team's potential scorers as one of the weaker links of their offense, a slew of solid options who lack the kind of "alpha" who can hang with other game-changing Ravens like quarterback Lamar Jackson or running back Derrick Henry , but their front office has shown little reluctance in the team-building

8/05/25 Ravens Predicted to Land Explosive WR. Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson already has arguably the best supporting cast of his NFL career, but some believe they could soon add to it. Jacob Infante of Pro Football Network predicts the Ravens will use their first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft on Ohio State wide receiver Carnell Tate.

8/04/25 Ravens have a critical challenge that can't be fixed in August. The Baltimore Ravens are well-regarded for their regular-season success, but they face a persistent challenge that continues to frustrate the franchise: replicating that strong performance when the stakes are highest. After visiting the Ravens' training camp on Saturday, ESPN's Dan Graziano observed on Monday that this problem "is tough to solve in August," referring to the difficulty of carrying regular-season consistency into postseason play. The Ravens have a solid NFL playoff history, making 16 postseason appearances since 1996, and hold an 18-14 playoff record.

8/02/25 Ravens Waive Rookie Kicker, Likely Settle Competition. The Baltimore Ravens have waived rookie kicker John Hoyland, CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz reports. Hoyland, an undrafted free agent out of Wyoming, had been in a competition with fellow rookie Tyler Loop to decide Baltimore's new starting kicker. While the competition appeared fairly even at this point in training camp, Loop apparently had more of an edge than previously thought. With this move, Loop is now in line to become Baltimore's new starting kicker and replace Justin Tucker, whom the Ravens released in May following a wave of sexual misconduct allegations.

8/02/25 Health Becomes Biggest Question Mark for Ravens' Super Bowl Run. The Baltimore Ravens entered their 2025 training camp with high hopes of a deep playoff run. After boasting one of the more impressive rosters in 2024, general manager Eric DeCosta added even more firepower in the draft with Georgia safety Malaki Starks and Marshall pass rusher Mike Green. Baltimore then added Pro Bowlers DeAndre Hopkins and Jaire Alexander in free agency to further boost the roster.

8/02/25 Does Ravens' Lamar Jackson Go First in NFL Redraft?. While it's hard to fathom that Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson nearly fell out of the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, it didn't seem so crazy at the time. Leading up to the draft, some scouts and analysts were adamant that Jackson should transition from quarterback to wide receiver to maximize his chances of making it in the NFL.

8/01/25 Ravens Secondary Has Burning Question. The Baltimore Ravens are going into the season with a better secondary on paper, but that might not exactly translate on the field. There isn't a lot of doubt behind Baltimore's new additions in the secondary, but seeing how the team responds in action will be important to determine how far the Ravens defense can go in the upcoming season. Bleacher Report writer Gary Davenport questioned if the Ravens had truly shored up their secondary.

8/01/25 Ravens Fourth-Year CB Earns Surprising Praise. The Baltimore Ravens have arguably the best secondary in the NFL with Pro Bowlers and All-Pros across it. Orr believes fourth-year cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis deserves to be recognized among the Ravens' smartest players. "Jalyn is probably the smartest DB in the room because he knows all the positions and can play them all well," Orr said. Armour-Davis was selected in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, but he has yet to find his footing at the next level.

8/01/25 Ravens Late-Round Rookie Getting Rave Reviews. When the pads come on during training camp, trench players on both sides of the ball finally get their chance to shine. That is exactly what Baltimore Ravens rookie defensive lineman Aeneas 'Fub' Peebles has continued to do this week, which earned him some high praise from pass rush coach Chuck Smith on Tuesday. "I love 'Fub'," Smith said. "He's got an incredible upside. He is lightning quick. He's 293 pounds or something – but then they say he's small, because he's short – but he's 293 [lbs.]. He's got a high skill level. He's quick. He has a great grasp of pass rush moves. He loves to pass rush. He has an aggressive mindset and a learning mindset." Peebles was the fourth of the Ravens' five

7/31/25 Ravens Secondary Pieces Among Most Valuable Players. The Baltimore Ravens' most valuable player is a question that requires little thought. Lamar Jackson doesn't just play the most important position at quarterback, but does so at a league-leading level, having clinched several MVP wins and regularly guiding his team to championship conversations. The Ravens went all-in on their defense this summer, adding to a once-spotty secondary with key veterans and versatile draftees to consolidate the most loaded section of the roster. Of the ten Ravens mentioned somewhere in Barnwell's writeup after his section on Jackson, four occupy the team's defensive backfield.
