Dodgers finally have starting rotation they envisioned. The returns of Tyler Glasnow and Blake Snell from injury and Shohei Ohtani's progress give the Dodgers the six-man rotation they hoped to have this season.

Diaz Homers Twice, Rasmussen Looks Like Ace in Rays' 4-0 Shutout of Dodgers. It's a hazy, faded memory, but the best version of the Tampa Bay Rays was clearly visible on Saturday in a wildly impressive 4-0 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Rays got two home runs from Yandy Diaz, including one to lead off the first inning, and Drew Rasmussen pitched 5 1/3 scoreless innings as Tampa Bay knocked off the defending world champions on Saturday at Steinbrenner Field. The win featured lights-out starting pitching that you would expect from an ace, terrific work from the bullpen, timely longballs and great defense.

Dodgers Swing Trade for Nationals' Alex Call to Boost Outfield Platoon. The Los Angeles Dodgers continue to add much-needed depth to their roster ahead of the MLB trade deadline. After striking two trades to add multiple bullpen pieces, including Brock Stewart from the Minnesota Twins, the team has now addressed the outfield. According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the Dodgers are acquiring outfielder Alex Call from the Washington Nationals in exchange for right-handed pitching prospects Eric Swan (#16) and Sean Paul Linan (#20).

It's 'Shotime': Dodgers Fans Flock to Steinbrenner Field to See Shohei Ohtani vs. Rays. As the Tampa Bay Rays try to put a brutal July behind them, it's officially "Shotime." The Rays returned from a difficult seven-game road trip on Friday to the sweltering August climate to greet baseball's hottest name, Shohei Ohtani, as Tampa Bay hosts the Los Angeles Dodgers for a three-game set. Things are vastly different than the last time Ohtani and the Dodgers visited the Rays. Now, the Rays are playing their home games at George M. Steinbrenner Field, the spring training complex of the New York Yankees in Tampa, as Tropicana Field undergoes renovations to repair extensive damage suffered from Hurricane Milton in 2024.
