8/06/10Santana will have left knee surgery today to repair his lateral collateral ligament and will miss the rest of the season. He suffered the injury Monday night in a home-plate collision with Red Sox outfielder Ryan Kalish.
8/03/10Santana left yesterday's game in Boston on a stretcher with his left leg in an air cast after blocking home plate for an out in the seventh inning. He reportedly tested well with the trainers afterwards, and he might have escaped serious damage. Nevertheless, the Indians placed him on the DL. In 46 games with the Indians, he is batting .260 with six HR and 22 RBI.
7/18/10Santana went a combined 2-for-6 in yesterday's doubleheader with a HR (6). He is batting .282 (29-for-103).
7/11/10Santana got hit on the left forearm by a pitch in the first inning, but remained in the game and afterward said that everything is OK. He is batting .278.
