6/07/10Napoli had four hits, including a two-run HR (9), to help lift the Angels over the Mariners, 9-4, yesterday. He is batting .269.
6/03/10Napoli started at first base for the second time in four games Wednesday, and will probably see much more time at the position when C Jeff Mathis (wrist) returns from the DL.
6/02/10Napoli hit .322 to go along with eight HR and 17 RBI in May. His eight homers matched Earl Averill (1961) for the most home runs in a single month by an Angels' catcher. He batted .167 with two RBI and no home runs in 16 games in April. He began June by going 0-for-4.
5/26/10Napoli went 2-for-3 with another home run (7) last night. With HR in four of his past eight games, he should hit more than the 20 HR that he has hit in each of the past two seasons.
5/24/10Napoli went 3-for-4 with a three-run HR and a pair of singles yesterday and now has four home runs in his last six games.
5/22/10Napoli went 2-for-3 with a two-run HR (4) and two runs scored last night. He is batting .298 with four home runs and nine RBI this month.
5/19/10Napoli belted his third home run of the year on Monday, and almost hit another one in the top of the ninth inning. He went 0-for-3 with three Ks on Tuesday. He is batting .226.
5/07/10Napoli hit a two-run home run in a losing effort last night - his first home run of the season. He is batting .230.
4/20/10Jeff Mathis went on the DL with a wrist fracture, so Napoli should get a huge increase in his playing time - expect to see a bunch of moon shot home runs on the highlight reels.
3/12/10Napoli is having a great Spring Training camp. He doubled and homered in his first two at-bats yesterday. He has gone 5-for-11 with three HR and three RBI in five games this spring.
