8/04/10	In his first two rehab games with Triple-A Indianapolis, catcher Ryan Doumit went 0-for-8 with two strikeouts. He served as the club's designated hitter on Monday before playing right field on Tuesday. Doumit did not have a play in the field. He is scheduled to be in the outfield again on Thursday, after which Doumit will be reevaluated to determine if he can return to the Pirates on Friday.
8/04/10	Ryan Doumit is scheduled to join Triple-A Indianapolis on Monday to begin a Minor League rehab assignment. Doumit was placed on the disabled list July 22 with a concussion, though he has been cleared for full baseball activities for a few days now.
7/31/10	Doumit has been replaced at catcher with the newly acquired Snyder. Doumit is expected to play right field when he returns to the lineup
7/24/10	Ryan Doumit will have the weekend completely off to rest from his concussion, then resume baseball activity early next week
7/22/10	Ryan Doumit was placed on the 15-day disabled list Thursday because of a concussion, the result of two blows to the head this week
6/12/10	Manager John Russell said the team is considering giving Doumit a look at first to keep his bat in the lineup while avoiding the grind of squatting behind the plate every day.
