8/01/10	Mathis was held out of the starting lineup for the fourth straight game today due to general soreness he sustained in a collision with the Rangers' Chris Davis last Sunday. He is still day-to-day and will be evaluated further this week.

6/17/10	The Angels activated Mathis from the 15-Day disabled list. He had gone on the DL on April 19 with a fractured wrist.

4/20/10	Wow! Just when things were going his way - Mathis breaks his right wrist blocking a ball at the plate. The Angels placed him on the 15-day disabled list with a right wrist fracture. He was batting .324 (11-for-34) with 1 HR and 2 SB. The Angels are planning to not have him for close to two months.
4/17/10	Mathis went 1-for-3 and scored two runs last night in Toronto - and - yes he even stole a base. Mike Napoli fans are devastated.
4/14/10	Whoa! What's this? Jeff Mathis, defensive catcher, went 2-for-4 - against the Yankees - and is batting .350 (7-for-20) this year. Keep up the good work!
4/03/10	The Angels kept Mathis out of the lineup for the third straight day for Friday's game against the Dodgers. However, Angels' manager Mike Scioscia said that he expects Mathis to play on Saturday. Mathis got hit by a pitch on his left hand in the seventh inning of Tuesday's game. X-rays revealed that he did not suffer a break.
