The Twins transferred Morneau to the 60-day disabled list to open up space on the 40-man roster for Matt Fox. Morneau has been recovering from a concussion that he suffered on July 7.

Morneau took batting practice today, but reports that he is not yet "symptom free" from dizziness and headaches. The Twins might have to shut him down. He suffered a concussion on July 7.

Morneau (Concussion, July 7) worked out for the second straight day on Wednesday and Twins' manager Ron Gardenhire reported that the workout went well. The team will evaluate Morneau again tomorrow.

Morneau (Concussion, July 7), worked out at Target Field on Friday. He plans to accompany the Twins in Chicago, where he will participate in regular team workouts Tuesday and Wednesday before potentially beginning a Minor League rehabilitation assignment.

Morneau (concussion) had his second consecutive "positive" workout in Minnesota, but his return date to the team remains uncertain.

Morneau has been doing light workouts at Target Field and continues to see progress in his recovery. He has not played since taking a knee to his head accidentally on July 7 in Toronto. He took some batting cage swings yesterday and felt well immediately afterwards, but must wait several hours to see if he really feels okay. His headaches don't bother him until several hours have passed after he has exerted himself. Stay tuned.

Morneau saw a neurologist yesterday and the Twins' front office said that Morneau continues to make progress from the concussion he suffered on July 7. He has not resumed baseball activities and will not travel with the team on their next road trip to Baltimore this week. The Twins will continue to monitor his progress, but it has set no timetables for his return.

Morneau missed his fourth straight game on Thursday with a concussion. He took a knee to the head when he tried to break up a double play on July 7. The Twins placed him on the 15-day disabled list last night.

Morneau sat out again yesterday with a mild concussion suffered Wednesday when he took a knee in the head from John McDonald while sliding into second base trying to break up a double play. Morneau is batting .345 with 18 HR and 56 RBI so far this season.
