Oakland Athletics Jack Cust Cust hit 26 HR in ’07 and 33 in ’08, to go along with 82 and 77 RBI respectively. He leads the Athletics in most of the hitting stats, from OPS to extra base hits to times on base. He also holds a few shameful records, e.g., most strikeouts in the AL (197). Expect 30 HR and 80 RBI – the pattern has been set. Watch his batting average; if it drops much lower than the .230 that he hit last year, he might lose at-bats - and corresponding production.
